Whether you refer to our training as telecom engineer training, telecoms engineer training, or simply telecoms training, the training, broken into several telecoms training courses, provides you with requisite skills for the telecom industry.DIPLOMA IN TELECOM
This is the most comprehensive of all our training programs. It is loaded and specially packaged, with inputs from players in the telecom industry as well as prospective employers of skilled labor, for persons who genuinely desire to be the best in the field of telecom engineering. This training is highly recommended for students and graduates of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics Electronics, and science and engineering courses in general. Other professionals who intend to use the knowledge gained and skills acquired in the areas of marketing, Human Resource Development, etc for the telecom industry are also welcome to register for this training.
Our 6 months Diploma in telecom and your degree certificate is a killer combination that turns the table around in your favor at job interviews. So dear to our heart is this training that, as much as possible, we do not let graduands of this 6-month training go home empty handed. We attempt to seek internship for them with telecom companies. Sometimes, we even succeed in getting jobs for them outrightly. However, we must reiterate that the emphasis here is not on stipends paid during the internship. Rather, the emphasis is on the opportunity to practice what trainees have learnt and build their experiences in the process. We believe that, with time, these experiences will ultimately converge into good remuneration for the trainee.
NETWORKING
Installation and Configuration of Local Area Networks
This course deals with the theory and practical of building Wired Local Area Networks from scratch. You will learn the different kinds of cables used to setup LANs. In particular, you will learn to terminate UTP cables on RJ-45 as Straight-Through, Crossover and Rollover cables. You will learn to connect computer to Switches, Face Plates, and Routers, using the cables you have terminated.
Beyond the hardware, this course will also teach you to configure protocols such as ADS, DNS and DHCP within a Windows Server Operating System environment. You will learn to create Domains and Workgroups and to join computers to these Domains and Workgroups.
The Basics of Network Administration is also covered in this course. You will learn to create User Accounts for employees on a corporate LAN; manage these accounts and perform administrative functions such as password recovery, resource sharing, and lot more.
Structured Cabling
Setting up a LAN
TCP/IP Configuration
Domain & Workgroup Configuration
Creating & Managing User Accounts
Sharing Internet and other Resources
Configuring DHCP Servers
Monitoring Network Resources
Troubleshooting LANs
LINUX OS
At the level of big networks and internetworks, some experts believe that it is no longer reliable to work with small Operating Systems like we did with LANs. For reliability and security purposes among many reasons, big networks often use ‘big’ Operating Systems such as UNIX and Linux (GSM ‘servers’, called MSCs, use UNIX).
In this course, we shall use Linux Operating System to give you a detailed insight into how Servers are configured and how they work with big Operating Systems. This course will particularly be of interest for persons who would like to work as Switch Engineer for telecom operators.
A major issue with big networks is SECURITY. Deliberate measures must be taken, both within the operating system and via the introduction of 3rd party software or hardware (called Firewalls) to ensure that only authorized persons have a pre-assigned level of access to network resources.
As simple as this may sound, it is a very complex issue and therefore is given a special place in in this course.

CCNA TRAINING
Suppose you have a corporate network (LAN) at 3 different branches of your company across the country; now you need to connect all three branches to your head office in London. In other words, you need to internetwork the functional LANs of your company.
One way to accomplish this is to connect the individual LANs to the internet and then introduce Routers at the exit/entry point of each LAN as Gateways to recognize and deliver packet to specific LANs. This way, your signal is routed through a public network but delivered to a private network. Switches within the private networks would then take over from Routers to deliver specifically to the destination computer within the network.
This course teaches you to install, configure and maintain Cisco Routers to play the role described above, in connecting several LANs together to form an internetwork. The various commands you must enter in the Cisco Router to make this possible will not only be discussed, but you will also have the rare privilege of configuring and seeing them work in a lab of several Cisco Routers and Switches.
CISCO DEVICES INSTALLATION
Internetworking & Router Configuration
Introduction to Cisco Devices
Installation & Configuration of Cisco Switches &Routers
Maintaining Cisco Switches & Routers
PRE-REQUISITE COURSE:
- LAN Setup & Configuration
- CCNA Training CERTIFICATION: The training also prepares you to take the CCNA certifications
- Linux Administration
RF ENGINEERING
RF equipment here basically refers to RF Radio, Antenna, Feeder Cables, Connectors, etc. The concept of RF enables more and more people/devices to remain mobile while still connected to a network. A typical example here is the wireless connection between mobile phones and the operator’s BTS which is accessible everywhere, every time.
From scenarios as simple as connecting LANs in two offices together using radios and antennas in a LOS, Point to Point architecture to complex scenarios of connecting thousands of handsets to a Base Station without cables (NLOS, PmPt), RF principles are basically the same and are covered under this course.
These same principles can be applied in various formats, at different frequencies or manipulated to give birth to new standards. You will learn to configure Base Stations for Non Line of Site (NLOS) operations with Customer Premise Equipment (CPEs); you will learn to configure Radios for Point to Point communication, say between a branch office and its head office; you will learn to design RF networks in general, before they pass to the implementation stage.
At the end of the training, you would have covered the curriculum for the Certified Wireless Network Administrator, CWNA and qualify to write the certification exam.
COURSE OUTLINE:
RF Planning & Implementation
RF Planning using Software
RF Site Survey
Installing & Connecting Antennas for 2.4GHz RF.
Entering & Navigating Radios.

Configuring VLANs
Configuring Base Station as Access Point
Wireless Bridge, Repeater, WDS. Configuring Security. Configuring Firewall & NAT. Configuring WAN Parameters.
PDH/SDH TRANSMISSION
This course is the advanced part of GSM Engineering. Whereas GSM Engineering is a horizontal overview of the operation of the entire network, PDH/SDH is more of a vertical approach to the working of the Radio and the Transmission aspects of the network.
You will work with a PDH and SDH radios, and configure for transmission of signals assembled from BTSs. On successfully completing the software commissioning and operation of the PDH and SDH radios, you would then progress to integrate all the individually configured components into a single network.
